The Black Woman 🖤

Underestimated, unappreciated, under loved, overlooked, misunderstood and belittled. Everyday our Black Queens and Princesses are put last and cast out like Bobby Brown.

Deprived of love and opportunities because they don’t resemble the people that imitate our culture and roots. Labeled as ghetto not because of their character, but by the darkness of their skin.

Braids and Afros rejected by a nation, if your hairs not straight they reject you like Omar Epps did Sanaa Lathan.

Voices never heard, mean comments never deserved and hands inappropriately gripped on her curves.

They undervalue the Black Queen and they sell her dreams. Telling her she’ll never be loved unless she goes Lil Kim or Michael Jackson.

A threat from the moment she opens any door, admiration only sent when they look beneath the core.

Mistreated but not defeated because the Black Queen never fails to rise, even when the odds were stacked against her, she stayed true to her skin no disguise.
